Samsung Galaxy J7 (2016) Review: Specs Pros and Cons

Last year Galaxy J7 did great business in mid range Segment for the Company, And now Samsung Galaxy J7 (2016) version launched with some better and upgraded features like Android v6.0 (Marshmallow), 5.5 inches sAMOLED display, Exynos 7870 octa-core CPU, 13MP Primary and 5MP secondary camera, 16 GB internal and 128 GB External SD card support and 3300 mAh battery.

Design and Craftsmanship
The phone has sleek design with 7.8mm width, phone has metallic frame with diamond cut finish and there is brushed metal in rear panel to improve the aesthetic view. The thin design and distinctive corners of the handset make it much better to hold with ease. The right edge houses the power button while the left edge has the volume rocker and the bottom has 3.5mm audio jack and a USB port as well.
High Quality Display 5.5 inches Super AMOLED HD display is quite crisp but when we compare its brightness with Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 which is also cheaper in price; the colour doesn’t look impressively bright and stimulating. This is because even after having Super AMOLED display in Galaxy J7 (16) it has only HD display and lower pixel density (267ppi). Although there is no quality depletion while watching videos or browsing the internet.

Performance of Exynos
Samsung is using their own manufactured chipset instead of Qualcomm or MediaTek, it has Exynos 7870 processor with eight Cortex-A53 cores clocked at up to 1.6Ghz. The performance of Galaxy J7 (6) is pretty good for smooth multitasking, Sometimes camera app takes time but it is up to acceptable range, Smartphone also capable  to run most of popular heavy games like Modern Combet, Asphalt 8 and NFS.

Camera Quality
This time Galaxy J7 included f/1.9 aperture in rear and front camera as well, 13MP primary camera is featuring CMOS Auto Focus, Continuous Shot, Interval Shot, Panorama, Sports Mode etc. The shots taken from the rear camera are quite good in quality, even after zoom the details of picture is visible. Low light photos are good enough but the detail is missing. There is also a Flash for the front facing camera that helps to take photos in night
Battery Backup
There is 3300 mAh battery inside the Smartphone that can easily give battery backup of more than a day for mediocre user. Although for extending battery life Ultra Power saving mode can be helpful.

  1. just because the phone is from Samsung. other than this this smartphone is not so great to buy.when Xiomi, vivo, oppo, and other Chinese made smartphones are relatively good or best.the positive point in buying the Samsung products is their best customer care\service centers.and software up gradation. if any special features added, then Samsung increases the price exorbitantly and making their product unavailable to the lower segment customers.
