Vivo V5s Review Pros and Cons: 20 MP Moonlight Camera

Review of Vivo V5s at a Glance:-

Selfie, Selfie, and Selfie this is what Vivo, Oppo, and Gionee trying to sell in Smartphone world. Another handset Vivo V5s with Moonlight Camera as a key selling point is launched with main specs like 5.5 inches HD Display, Android v6.0 Marshmallow, MediaTek MT6750 1.5 GHz Octa-core processor, 13 MP Primary | 20 MP Secondary Camera, 64 GB ROM, 256 GB SD card support, 4 GB RAM and 3000 mAh battery. nude

Design like iPhone
The metallic unibody design looks premium as it is directly rip-off from the iPhone 7, the visible iPhone design copied are antenna bands & slightly protruding camera. with 154 gram weight and 7.6 mm thickness phone feels compact in hand and the gentle elegant U-shaped corners are also enhancing looks and ease in holding. On the right edge, you can find Power and Volume keys while left housing Card Tray Slot. The bottom has Micro USB Slot, 3.5mm Audio Jack, and a Speaker Grille.
Display Should be Better
Vivo disappointed us a little bit while a phone with almost ₹ 19000 comes up with such an unexpected low screen configuration. It has 5.5 inches 720p HD IPS LCD capacitive Display with 267 ppi pixel density. It is true that you will have a pleasant enough experience while watching the HD videos or photos stored on the phone but it should be more vivid & vibrant when you are spending enough money on a Smartphone. Apart from this downside at least they are providing iPhone style 3D Touch display, and if you are considering this phone it is also protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 3.

Entry Level CPU in Mid-range Smartphone
When a 10-12K INR smartphone can provide CPU like Snapdragon 625, I don't understand why Vivo is not offering a decent CPU in a phone with nearly 19K INR price tag. Meanwhile, this phone is configured with 64-bit Mediatek MT6750 processor having 1.5 GHz Octa-core processor coupled with a 4 GB RAM, this combination offers a smooth performance for daily tasks but unable to handle heavy multitasking and graphic intensive games. So if you are more in gaming don't consider this phone as a relevant one because it is good only for browsing, watching videos, surfing the internet not for heavy tasking or long hours gaming.

Good Gift for Selfie Lovers
Now lets come to the most advertised feature of this handset- Camera. Its rear shooter has 13MP module while the main concentration given to front 20 MP selfie camera, The main 13MP camera offers a decent daylight and macro photography however it is incapable of properly reducing the noise in low-lit shots. This rear camera is slightly above average. 20 MP secondary selfie camera is doing a great job with f/2.0 aperture (which allow more light to enter) and Moonlight effect (for brighter picture capturing radiant complexions). If you are more in selfie photography congrats this phone is specially designed for you.
Value added Specs
This handset also comes up with features like Smart Screen-Split 2.0 feature that allows multitasking without exiting the app means you can run two apps simultaneously. For the music lovers inside the phone AK4376 Hi-Fi audio chip delivers astonishing sound quality.

Average Battery
The phone has a very average 3000 mAh battery, There is nothing spectacular to talk about its backup, in simple lines it can offer whole day backup if you will use this smartphone moderately & unfortunately there is no Quick charge supported.

Why to buy and Final words about Vivo V5s

Vivo v5s is a good choice for selfie enthusiastic people but if you are more in heavy gaming or performance related work this phone isn't for you. However, the design of phone is copied from iPhone so definitely it looks premium and classy, performance is not up to the standard but decent enough for performing day to day tasks, Primary Camera can take more than acceptable photos in daylight condition while 20 MP front camera is awesome can capture selfies with details. the battery is just average can give decent backup if moderately used. for the alternate options have a look at the Galaxy J7 Prime, Lenovo P2 and Moto G5 Plus for performance and Gionee A1 for Camera.
