Xiaomi Redmi 4 Review Pros & Cons: Affordable and Stylish

Xiaomi constantly upgrading the market with their affordable and specs rich Smartphones, Now after the success of Redmi 3S and Redmi 3S Prime, they launched Redmi 4 under 10000 rupees in India. We are here to point out major Advantages and Disadvantages of Redmi 4. The key specs it is offering are 5.0 inches HD Display, Android v6.0.1 Marshmallow OS, Snapdragon 435 CPU, 13 MP Primary | 5 MP Secondary Camera, 16/32/64 GB Internal | 128 GB SD Card support, 2/3/4 GB RAM and 4100 mAh battery.

Improvement over Looks
In the first appearance, it looks like smaller version of Redmi Note 4 with all-metal back and 2.5D curved-edge glass in front. The rear is polished it such a way that it reflects premium sexy impression. As it is 5.0 inches in size so feels compact and easy to handle and operate with one hand. The distribution of different functional button has a traditional arrangement like power and volume keys are on the right edge. Micro-USB port for charging and data transfers on the bottom, Top houses 3.5mm audio socket and an Infrared emitter. There are also two grills on the bottom one for speaker other for a mic.

Clean 5.0' Display
The handset has 5.0 inches LCD with 294ppi display density offers a crisp viewing experience, although it is not best in its class but the colour saturation and brightness is pleasant enough. We don't think someone Another a shortcoming in its display although it is not suitable for VR experience. The viewing angles are not problematic and sunlight legibility is also sufficiently good. There is 2.5D Curved display we are seeing first time in Xiaomi smartphones under 10K Range. We are also pleased to see the Corning Gorilla Glass protection.

Well balanced Performance
As according to its price point phone is capable of delivering a good performance because of Qualcomm MSM8940 Snapdragon 435 chipset which is coupled with 4 GB RAM, This configuration is sound enough for day to tasks or even Games like Assassin's Creed and F1 2016 works fine (Not perfect). if you are more in gaming definitely choose 4 GB RAM version over 2 or 3 GB RAM. However, it has Qualcomm's Entry level mobile chipset so don't expect high. Other thing of consideration is its relatively old Marshmallow OS although company indicating that Redmi 4 will receive an update to Nougat in future.

Decency in Camera
Xiaomi in this phone included 13 MP sensor for the rear camera which is actually a decent shooter for daylight. most of the smartphone perform quite well in good lighting conditions but real performer must work fine in low light situations. Redmi 4 struggle to capture insufficient lit conditions, although outdoor landscape photography is more than satisfactory if taken properly. 5 MP front shooter is also decent enough to take selfies but again it has low light sensitivity problem. Overall as according to its budget segment it is fine to have such average camera.

Battery Backup
The thing that is sufficient in this handset is its battery capacity. This gadget has a huge 4100 mAh battery inside which can easily run for more than a day even after heavy use.
