Oppo F5 Review Specs Pros and Cons

Oppo is popular among its fan for the camera-centric smartphones, Now they have launched a phablet with 6.0 inches display. This phone is based on the full HD+ or full view display. Here we have enlisted the main advantages and disadvantages of the handset. The key features of this handset are 6.0 inches FHD+ display, Android 7.1 (Nougat) OS, Mediatek MT6763T Helio P23 CPU, 16MP Primary | 20MP secondary Camera, 32/64 GB Internal | 256 GB SD Card | 4/6 GB RAM and 3200 mAh battery.

A Smooth Non-Metallic Design
This phablet has a unibody design but they have made the switch from metal to plastic. It has a faux-metallic coating on the back. There is a 0.4mm hairline laser string carved using vacuum radium technology located at the tip of the device increasing its aesthetic value. The phone has rounded corners and edges, that helps in holding a big phone with ease. Even after having such a big display it has optimal 7.5mm of thickness along with 152 grams, so you will have more fun in a compact device. The power button and access to the SIM tray on the right of the device while left edge has the volume buttons. bottom housing 3.5mm audio jack, micro USB port, and speaker grille.

Full View FHD+ Display
The good news is even after having 6.0 inches display, it fit aesthetically within a narrow frame and making it easily portable. Its Full HD+ display is offering more room for your content but all the apps are not adjustable to the new 18:9 aspect ratio and since most content is in 16:9, so you will see the black bars when watching videos on YouTube. This 6.0 inches LTPS IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen Offers decent viewing angles with sufficient sharpening along with pleasing contrast.

Camera with Artificial Intelligence
Now let's have a look at the most advertised feature of this gadget. There is a 16MP sensor for primary and 20MP for the rear camera, Oppo smartphones are known as "Selfie expert" that's why the company makes secondary camera much powerful than the primary shooter. This device also features a smart beauty “AI” mode that removes everything from the frame that possibly can ruin the selfie,  it smoothes-out your crinkles, it also avoids the bizarre eye-widening and cheekbone-chiseling of some other beauty modes. Without having Dual cam setup, depth effect on the front camera can take pretty decent bokeh effect that yields a pleasant out-of-focus backdrop. In the end selfie cam able to produce a photogenic best. The 16 MP primary shooter along with f/1.8 aperture can take decent enough pictures in daylight while it struggles little bit in case of insufficient lighting. there is also focusing issue which sometimes seems slow, aside from this issue, the camera is quick and fun to use. If you are interested in video recording here from both the camera you can record the Full HD videos with 30fps.

The handset is powered by MediaTek MT6763T Helio P23 octa-core processor based on the 16nm power efficient design. This chipset is coupled with whopping 6GB RAM, together they are able to provide a good performance for day to day life, although it is not suitable for high-end games (but many can be played in low graphics setting). Multitasking is not an issue till you start using multiple heavy apps simultaneously. But if you are not much in gaming & heavy multitasking, it is a quite decent choice.

Battery Capacity and Backup
The battery is doing little bit injustice with such a huge 6.0 inches phablet. However, the chipset is more power efficient than its previous versions but who doesn't love a huge battery. An average user can take its backup for a whole day. but the intense user will find it hard to use the phone for the full day.

Why to buy and Final words about Oppo F5:-

Oppo Smartphones are mostly made for the people using frequent front camera, That's why they've named it "Selfie expert". Oppo F5 is also another example of this series, in this model even they have blended the Artificial Intelligence to recognize the face for best possible outcome. Aside from camera the display is big and vibrant to watch your favorite videos. Facial recognition to unlock the device is an interesting feature, which you can also see in iPhone X. The plastic build body is bit odd and out fashioned in the era of full metallic design. We like this phone but some features are not available which are the bit hard to compromise. However, for the alternate option, you can also look at the Motorola Moto G5s Plus and Redmi Note 5.
