Samsung Galaxy A8 (2018) Review Pros and Cons: Phone with Class

Review of Samsung Galaxy A8 (2018) at a Glance:-

The "A" Series of Samsung is known for the Upper mid-range phones having features close to the flagship devices. Galaxy A8 (2018) is Samsung's first non-flagship phone with an Infinity Display. It is featuring 5.6 inches Super AMOLED display, Android 7.1.1 (Nougat) OS, Exynos 7885 Octa-core processor, 16 MP Primary | 16+8 MP Secondary Camera, 32/64 GB Internal Memory | 256 GB External | 4 GB RAM and 3000 mAh battery.

Built for Status
It has an impressive build with Corning’s Gorilla Glass 5 and most durable 7000-series aluminum. The front, as well as back are covered by shiny gorilla glass, though only the back curves around the matte black metal frame. We really appreciate the decision of launching the phone with certified IP68 for water and dust resistant body. It looks like Galaxy S8 in many aspects but has relatively much bigger bezels. For ease, the fingerprint reader on the A8 moved to below the camera much better than on the Galaxy S8. The power button and phone's single mono speaker is on the right edge. On the left, there's a volume rocker and a tray for the primary Nano-SIM. The second Nano-SIM slot along with microSD card located on the top and There's also a USB Type-C port and a 3.5mm audio socket on usual bottom position.

Neat and Clean Infinity Display
Samsung is the best producer of Smartphone display even Apple is a buyer of its AMOLED display. In this handset, 5.7 inches screen with 1080 x 2220 pixels resolutions featuring 441 ppi display density and Always on display. Everything running on the phone looks pleasantly vibrant even in the direct sunlight of outdoor condition visibility is more than satisfactory as it has Maximum brightness 567 nits. The infinity display is leaving very less space for the bezels even after that it is not looking futuristic like Galaxy S8. It is good to know that display is also protected by the latest Corning Gorilla Glass 5.

Selfie Camera is Master
The camera is a key selling point of any smartphone nowadays, Galaxy A8 comes up with a mono 16-megapixel rear camera with optical stabilization (OIS) and a f/1.7 lens, while on the front, there is a dual camera setup (16-megapixel and 8-megapixel) that can blur the background with DSLR-like portrait effect. The daylight photographs with this handset are full of details with true to life colors. Although A8 is struggling to capture the details in low light conditions when compared with the Galaxy S8. But the story of the front camera is quite different, It offers much better selfies than expected, a perfect selfie camera phone.
Decent Performance by Exynos 7885
Its Exynos 7885 Octa-core CPU is decent enough to run nearly all the Apps with ease however it is not ideal for the serious gamers. Two cores clocked at 2.2 GHz (Cortex-A73) are helping in proceeding powerful tasks with ease while Six 1.6 GHz (Cortex-A53) core used for normal tasks, which helps in saving the battery juice. The flipping between the different apps is quite smoother so if you are not a hard gamer the performance of the smartphone is quite good. This octa CPU is incorporated by the 4 GB RAM which is also helping in the accelerating the processes.

One Full Day Backup
The battery capacity of this handset is just equaled to the other flagship devices. Its 3000 mah battery is capable of providing the 22 hours talktime over 3G network, If used properly it can easily offer battery backup of one full day. Power efficient AMOLED display and the 14nm chipset helps in enhancing battery life.

Why to buy and Final words about Samsung Galaxy A8 (2018):-

This Samsung Mobile doesn't look like a successor of Galaxy A5, it is more looks like a mini version of Galaxy S8 with some distinction. There are many features which are quite impressive in this handset including Infinity AMOLED display, dust and waterproof body, Camera quality (especially front cam), and the Aluminium build. The performance is also butter smooth but our main concern is its price which is slightly lesser than the Galaxy S8 the flagship piece. In this range, you can also look for the OnePlus 5T.
