Motorola Moto Z3 Play Review Pros and Cons

Motorola Moto Z3 Play at a Glance:-

With some added features and evolved design Motorola launched Moto Z3 Play with a virtually borderless display having Max Vision 18:9 aspect ratio. The headline features of this smartphone are 6.01 inches Super AMOLED display, Android 8.1 (Oreo) OS, Snapdragon 636 processor, 12 + 5MP dual primary camera setup | 8MP secondary camera, 32/64/128 GB Internal storage | 512 GB External SD card support | 4/6 GB RAM and 3000 mAh battery. 

The body of Moto Z3 Play from back and rear is made up of 2.5D Gorilla Glass while the frame is made up of 6000 series aluminum. The device is also Splash and dust resistant but unfortunately not water resistance. 6.01 inches FHD+ Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with 402 ppi density offers a great visual experience although it's not equally bright enough as sAMOLED in Samsung phones. It also has Alway-on-display features which show date, time, and notification. 
The phone is powered by Qualcomm SDM636 Snapdragon 636 octa-core processor clocked at 1.8 GHz Kryo 260. This chipset coupled with 6 GB RAM providing a smooth experience while using multiple apps (6GB RAM version is limited to some countries). 12+5MP Dual camera setup is quite decent to take photos with bokeh effect (Although it is missing OIS/EIS for better stability). 8MP front camera captures crisp photos. 

For the power, it has 3000 mAh non-removable battery, which offers satisfactory battery backup as Snapdragon 636 claim to power efficient CPU. Interestingly this handset also comes with moto power pack offering up to 40 combined hours of battery. There are also not many colour variants for this handset only you can find Deep Indig.

  • Only Single colour (Deep Indigo) available.
